Lisa Ross-Marcus is an associate partner at the Center for Strategy & Leadership, bringing on board her diverse skills and experience in personal development within the corporate environment. She coaches both individuals and teams. Whether in the role of coach, trainer or training actor, Lisa’s passion is helping others reach their full potential by encouraging them to venture out of their comfort zone, identify their strengths, and make strategic choices about further developing their own talents and skills. Cultivating an awareness of the difference between “surviving” and “thriving”, Lisa challenges individuals to consider their own values and well-being, in tandem with a drive to achieve maximum performance.
Lisa was a corporate communication trainer at Executive Performance Training (EPT) for 10 years. She was promoted to a senior role in the company, leading and co-leading programs throughout Europe (including Russia), USA and Asia for companies such as McKinsey, Corus Steel (now Tata Steel), ABN/AMRO Bank, Akzo-Nobel, DSM, Sabic, Nuon, Unilever, Sanoma Publishing, Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), TNT, Findus and EQT private equity group. She trained business executives ranging from middle management to CEO’s on programs focusing on communication, leadership, teamwork, cross-cultural issues as well as individual coaching for senior level executives.
Lisa was also responsible for developing and leading internal ‘train the trainer’ programs for EPT. She became a coach in 2009 after completing her studies at Boertien Training including NLP, TA and Voice Dialogue techniques.
Born and raised in New York, Lisa traveled to Europe as a student to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. After several years in Paris, she settled in The Netherlands, where she enjoyed a successful 15 year career as a choreographer, theater director and performer. As a way of giving back to the dance community, Lisa offers coaching and leads career transition workshops for professional dancers.
Lisa is married to Lee Ross and together they have a daughter Chiara, blended with Lee’s two adult children, their partners and grandchildren. They love traveling as a family, either to visit relatives spread throughout the United States or to go on ”adventure” trips to explore different countries and cultures. One of Lisa’s ambitions is to hike the entire Lycian Way in Turkey.
